A wealthy man, James Courtney, is frustrated to find himself sitting next to a large woman in first class. He mocks and insults her for her size, making cruel comments about her eating habits and appearance. The woman, visibly upset, tries to ignore him, but James continues with his jabs. During the flight, James is rude to the flight attendant and to the woman,
but things take a turn when the woman is invited to the cockpit. She’s revealed to be Allison Jones, a famous opera singer traveling for a charity concert. The passengers applaud her, and James realizes his mistake. The flight attendant scolds him, and when Allison returns, she confronts James, telling him that while she can’t control her weight, he can change his attitude. James is left humbled, realizing that he was wrong to judge her.
